Sands Creative Group provides scanning, dry mounting, lamination, and other production services.

Large Format Scanning: Available for original color or black and white artwork up to 42 inches in width at whatever resolution is required for your needs. Files can be provided to you via a manner of data transfer methods (CD, file transfer, etc) and in most standard file formats.

Our regularly stocked mounting substrates:

Chipboard: Inexpensive flexible brown cardboard.

Commonly stocked in 20” x 30” 1/32” thickness
1/16th, 1/8th, and 1/20th of an inch also available

1/20” Art board: Higher quality than chipboard, but with similar mounting and support characteristics.

Commonly stocked in Black. White, other colors, and varying thickness and finishes are also available.

FoamCore 3/16": medium rigid board consisting of a layer of foam sandwiched between two layers of heavy paper.

Commonly stocked in White 48” X 96”.
Black and other colors also available

Jetmount 1/4": Similar in composition and appearance to Foamcore, but with increased strength and rigidity, and better warp resistance. Excellent for larger mounted pieces and longer display times.

Gatorboard 3/16" and 1/2": A layer of Polystyrene foam sandwiched between two layers of pressboard. Gatorboard provides excellent support with top-flight warp resistance, ideal for long-term graphic display.

Brown Kraft also available

Sintra 3mm and 1mm: Polyvinylchloride (PVC) board. Can also be heat-shaped for even more versatility.

Corrugated Plastic 3mm: Polypropylene board sandwiched with a fluted core. It is tough, lightweight, and durable.

Note: All paper or plastic substrates may be subject to varying degrees of warping due the environmental effects of heat and moisture.

Paper sheathed boards can be especially susceptible to the effects of temperature and moisture, pressboard products much less so. Plastics are impervious to the effects of moisture, but may be deformed by exposure to heat.

Laminates:

3mil Clear Matte: A true matte, pressure sensitive over-laminate ideal for graphics needing maximum legibility. Offers medium surface protection with a minimal addition to weight and thickness of the final product.

3mil Clear Gloss: A high gloss, pressure sensitive over-laminate for graphics needing a crystal clear glassy finish. Offers medium surface protection with a minimal addition to weight and thickness of the final product.

5mil Clear Matte: A matte pressure sensitive Polycarbonate over-laminate offering maximum protection from surface-wear while providing excellent legibility for graphics.

2mil Dry Erase Clear Gloss Laminate: Over-laminate which allows the usage of Dry Erase-type pens for marking and erasing.

10mil Opaque White Backer: Heavyweight glossy backing.

Other Options: Additional products stocked and available to fulfill your graphics needs.

Easel Backs: Cardboard collapsible easel supports mounted to graphics’ backs for ease of standing display. Available in either Small or Large sizes appropriate to job size. Either white cardboard or chipboard are available depending upon size of easel. Black easels are available as a special request.

Velcro™: 1/2" strips of Black or White male or female Velcro™ with adhesive backing. Ideal for situations where graphics need frequent repositioning or swapping, and for application to Velcro™-compatible display boards or tradeshow booths.

Grommets: 1/4" inner diameter brass or nickel grommets giving an excellent reinforced
display option for all our regularly stocked media or substrates (except 1/2"
Gatorboard).

Magnetic Strips: 1" adhesive backed strips that allow for application of graphics to magnetic surfaces.

Foam Hangers: Low-profile toothed hangers for foam boards. To be used with simple picture brads or nails for unframed wall hanging.
